TNEA 2026 Supplementary Counselling: Seat Allotment Out, Check Result @suppl.tneaonline.org

After the completion of the three main general counselling rounds, around 53,668 engineering seats remained vacant across 422 colleges in Tamil Nadu. To fill these seats, DoTE opened a separate supplementary counselling process. 

Registration for TNEA 2026 Supplementary Counselling began on August 17 and closed on August 31, 2026, allowing new and remaining eligible candidates to apply for the vacant seats.

Following registration, the supplementary rank list was released on September 3, 2026. Candidates listed in the rank list were then able to take part in choice filling, which opened on September 4 and continued until September 5. 

Based on the preferences submitted, DoTE released the tentative allotment on September 7 at 10 AM, and candidates were required to confirm their tentative allotment the same day between 10 AM and 7 PM. The provisional allotment result is scheduled to be published on September 9 at 10 AM.

Candidates can follow these steps to check their allotment status:

1. Visit the official website at suppl.tneaonline.org or tneaonline.org.
2. Log in using the same User ID and Password created during supplementary registration.
3. Click on the seat allotment result link available on the dashboard.
4. View the allotted college and branch shown on the screen.
5. Choose from the available confirmation options for the allotted seat.
6. Download the allotment letter for admission and record purposes.

Candidates who accept their allotted seat need to complete the confirmation process within the given time window, since failing to confirm can result in the seat being released back into the pool. Once confirmed, candidates should download the provisional allotment letter and visit the allotted college or the nearest TNEA Facilitation Centre with the necessary original documents to complete admission formalities.
