Students will need a strong grasp of core concepts to solve such questions effectively, and this pattern is likely to benefit those who focus on conceptual clarity and regular practice.

According to education experts, there has been no major change in the marking scheme or question paper outline compared to previous years.
For the 2026 Board Examination, CBSE had released the sample papers in July 2025, and this year's release has come around two months later, though the delay has not resulted in any significant change in structure.

Along with the science stream papers, the Sample paper Class 12 CBSE 2026-27 English and other language and humanities papers are also available on the official website, giving students across all streams access to updated practice material.

CBSE has also prepared these question papers keeping the needs of visually impaired students in consideration, reflecting the board's ongoing effort to make the examination process more accessible.

Useful for JEE Main, NEET UG and CUET Preparation

The Class 12 Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology sample papers contain a mix of question formats, including assertion-reasoning questions, single-correct-answer objective questions and paragraph based questions.

Since similar formats are also used in competitive entrance examinations such as JEE Main, NEET UG and CUET UG, students preparing simultaneously for board exams and entrance tests can use these sample papers for additional practice.

Physics questions in particular have maintained a reasonable but sometimes challenging level of difficulty, requiring students to apply the right formula or approach rather than simply recall information.
