What Is LOC In CBSE?
For students, LOC in CBSE simply means the official list of candidates that every school submits to the board, and only students included in it can appear in the board exams. The CBSE LOC registration 2026 process is already underway, and the board has asked schools to get every detail right at each stage.
For a complete guide on dates, fees and rules, students can read our detailed explainer on CBSE LOC 2026-27.
What CBSE covered in the LOC webinar
The webinar was live-streamed on CBSE's official YouTube channel and drew participation from schools, students and parents. More than 450 school principals and educators from CBSE-affiliated schools took part in New Delhi. The Controller of Examinations presented the key aspects of registration and LOC submission, and senior officials answered questions in a live Q&A session.
Schools raised queries on correction of student particulars, selection and change of subjects, submission and verification of LOC data, registration of Class 9 and 11 students, and fee provisions. CBSE stressed timely and accurate data, correct student particulars and subject combinations, compliance with fee rules and proper implementation of provisions for Children with Special Needs (CWSN).
The CBSE Class 10 registration 2026-27 process covers students in around 32,000 affiliated schools across India and 26 countries, and registration for Class 9 and 11 will start soon.
