WB NEET PG Counselling 2026 Fee, Security Deposit and Eligibility
The process covers State Quota seats in government medical colleges and State, Management and NRI Quota seats in private medical colleges, for MD, MS, DNB and PG Diploma courses. WBMCC issued the WB NEET PG Counselling 2026 schedule on October 14, 2026, and has marked it tentative.
The counselling fee is Rs 3,000, paid once and non-refundable. Choices for private college seats also need a security deposit:
- Private college State Quota seats only: Rs 2 lakh
- Private college Management Quota, with or without private State Quota: Rs 5 lakh
The deposit is adjusted against the course fee if a seat is allotted. Round 1 allows a free exit, so a candidate who does not report gets the deposit back after counselling ends. From Round 2, not reporting forfeits it.
Candidates need the 50th percentile in NEET PG 2026 for UR and EWS, and the 40th for SC, ST and OBC. State Quota seats are open to those who passed MBBS from West Bengal and to the state’s in-service doctors, who hold 40% of State Quota degree seats and 50% of diploma seats. NRI Quota applicants cannot opt for State or Management Quota seats.
Leaving a course midway costs Rs 5 lakh for a degree seat and Rs 2 lakh for a diploma seat.
