Assam NEET PG 2026 Merit List Released for State Quota; Check Names, Rank, October 16 Deadline

The Assam NEET PG 2026 merit list is available on the official website of DME Assam, dme.assam.gov.in. Candidates who are eligible but find their names missing from the list must apply with documents on or before October 16, 2026.

The Assam NEET PG 2026 Provisional Merit List carries the candidate's roll number, name, gender, category, NEET PG 2026 score, NEET PG 2026 rank, permanent address and MBBS state. 1. Visit the official website of DME Assam, dme.assam.gov.in.
2. On the homepage, find the notice titled "Provisional Merit List of NEET-PG-2026 for Assam State Quota Seats".
3. Open the merit list PDF.
4. Check the name, NEET PG 2026 roll number, category, score and rank.
5. Download the PDF and save it for future reference.

The Assam NEET PG counselling eligibility is governed by the Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021, including all amendments made to date. Candidates who are eligible under these rules, have appeared in NEET PG 2026 and have secured the cut-off score or above can take part in the online counselling.

Eligibility alone is not enough. A candidate's name and NEET PG 2026 roll number must also appear in the state provisional merit list published by the Directorate, as only those candidates can participate in the online counselling.

Candidates who are eligible under the PG admission rules but are missing from the provisional list have been directed to submit an application along with the relevant documents. The application must reach the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, on the second floor, Room No. 5, on or before October 16, 2026, during office hours.

Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted. Candidates must collect an acknowledgement receipt when they submit their forms and keep it safe.

The DME notice does not give a separate counselling date. The online counselling for the 50% state quota seats will follow the schedule published by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), whose round 1 registration for All India Quota seats begins on October 12.
