GATE 2027 Registration Last Date and Revised Schedule
IIT Madras announced the special window in a notice dated October 14, 2026, citing multiple requests from candidates. Regular registration without late fee closed on October 5, and the late-fee extension closed on October 12.

The admit card date is yet to be announced. IIT Madras lists all dates as liable to change. GATE 2027 is a computer-based test across 30 papers, including the new Robotics and Automation (RA) paper.

Late-fee rates apply to GATE 2027 registration in this window. A second paper costs more.

In the regular period, the same categories paid Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 for one paper. The fee is non-refundable. Refunds apply only to duplicate transactions backed by valid proof. How to Complete GATE 2027 Registration on GOAPS
- Go to gate2027.iitm.ac.in and open the GOAPS login.
- Sign in through DigiLocker (Digilocker registration is mandatory for all Indian nationals).
- Fill in personal, academic and test paper details. Two-paper candidates must pick a combination on the official list.
- Upload documents to the ‘GATE2027’ folder in DigiLocker Drive, with each file between 10 KB and 600 KB.
- Pay the fee online and submit before 10:29 AM on October 16.
- Do not delete the DigiLocker account used to apply. IIT Madras will send all GATE 2027 communication only to that account.
