Who Can Appear in the CBSE Class 12 Special Exam
CBSE announced the special examinations in a notice dated September 15, 2026. The exams cover Class 12 papers in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Results for those papers were then prepared under an assessment scheme. The notice listed 40 subjects, 20 academic and 20 skill-based. The date sheet covers 16 of them.
Regular and private candidates qualify only if they meet two conditions. Their LOC or exam form must have been submitted for the 2026 Main Examinations. Their result must have been declared under that scheme. Anyone absent from the 2026 Main Examinations for any reason is not eligible. The LOC window closed on September 26, 2026.
No examination fee is charged. The exams are held only in the seven countries, and centres remain unchanged. The special exam result is final and replaces the earlier assessment-scheme result.
