NCERT Revises Class 11, 12 Political Science Textbooks 2026
The National Council of Educational Research and Training has reconstituted a 20-member team to develop new Political Science textbooks and teaching material for Classes 11 and 12. The NCERT Political Science textbook revision is part of the wider implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023. The NCERT Class 11 Political Science textbook has been given a target completion date of November 30, 2026, while the NCERT Class 12 Political Science textbook is scheduled to be completed by July 30, 2027. The timelines are significant as NCERT continues the phased introduction of textbooks developed under the revised national curriculum.
